In the production of cosmetics emulsification, some product raw materials, the powder raw materials are easily dusted during the process of feeding the powder raw materials to the emulsifying mixer of the cosmetics manufacturing machine.

The precautions in the production of cosmetics emulsification:
A. The weighing of powder materials
The weighing of powder materials should preferably be operated in a dedicated enclosed small space; to ensure that the airflow rate over the operating area in this space should be as small as possible under the condition of sufficient air changes ( This can be achieved by arranging multiple air inlets and air outlets in this space);
B. Not to use the “dumping method”
For dust-prone powder materials, before opening the inner packaging bag, you should first sense and evaluate the airflow rate in the area, and if appropriate, gently open it from one corner of the bag to all.
It is best not to use the “dumping method” for these materials (except if there is a closed feeder that opens and closes). Instead, use a stainless steel shovel or scoop of appropriate size or similar transit utensils to transfer them in the form of “shoveling”. To the large weighing container, and the large weighing container should preferably be covered with an empty large transparent plastic bag in an inverted way between the transfer gaps to prevent dust;
C. Wear goggles and protective masks
When weighing, it is best to wear goggles and protective masks. Wearing ordinary cotton gauze masks or disposable masks is not effective in preventing dust from entering the lungs;
D. Poured into a large open container and transferred for weighing
In the three cases, even the dusty powder must be poured into a large open container and transferred for weighing, namely:
- First, because of GMPC requirements, paper or another fiber packaging must not be brought into the first-class clean area, even if the whole bag is used, it must be poured out for transit first;
- Second, because of the relatively small amount, it is inconvenient to operate the whole bag directly;
- The third is that the “phase” must be premixed in the process of weighing.
When pouring into a large transfer container, it is best to place a 20-50 mesh screen in the middle to prevent the mixing of hard-to-break agglomerates. For the agglomerated powder, check whether it is a foreign body. If not, use squeezing or similar methods, crush it and then sprinkle it into a large container.
E. For powders that can not be moisturized
For powders that can not be moisturized first, before feeding into the pot, open the equipment of the exhaust hood above the pot to let the air have a slight flow, and then start the operation.
The large container is slowly tilted, and the powder is poured into the pot through a 20-50 mesh screen. You can pour it in the direction of the water and liquid vortex in the pot, and gently sieve while pouring to prevent the powder from clumping.
Finally, if there is agglomerated powder, check whether it is a foreign matter. If not, use extrusion or similar methods. After crushing, the agglomerated powder is slowly poured into the stirred pot.
F. For the disposal of dust-prone raw materials
For the disposal of dust-prone raw materials that are directly used for feeding in the whole package, the equipment of the exhaust hood above the pot should be opened to allow the air to have a slight flow of air before starting the operation.
First, gently open a corner of the bag to a suitable size, and then slowly pour it into the pot at a moderate speed. At the same time, be careful not to let the material stick to the stirring paddle and the pot wall above the liquid level.
At the later stage of pouring, tap the bottom of the bag lightly to ensure that all the powder can be poured out; if the bag mouth material has a slight amount of moisture and sticks, this part of the material can also be used if it is convenient. The sanitary spatula is shoveled into the pot and will not affect the use.
